Support MAGY

Memphis Area Gay Youth (MAGY) is a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit organization run solely on donations and volunteer hours.

MAGY is an important part of the lives of our members and with the help of their adult advisors, they put in the hours that make MAGY a reality. However, MAGY is in great need of your help in order to keep providing the safe and supportive environment our GLBTQ youth so desperately need.

There are several ways in which you can contribute:

Monetary Donations

Monetary Donations can be the hardest kind of donations for MAGY to come by, yet they are the type of donation we need the most. It can cost as little as $10 to make a diffrence and keep MAGY thriving. Consider becoming a sponsor.

MAGY Advocate ($10)
Shows your support for GLBTQ youth and helps us more than you could know.

Meeting Sponsor ($25)
Sponsors a weekly meeting, including activities, snacks and special events.

Helpline Sponsor ($50)
Sponsors our phone line for a month which is how kids find out where our location is and reach out in times of crisis.

Website Sponsor ($250)
Keeps our website up and active for a year and provides a place for youth to find out about MAGY before they call.

Prom Sponsor ($500)
Helps to fund our annual prom for GLBTQ youth and their dates.

Become an Advisor

Working with GLBTQ teens can be a fun and rewarding experience. However, it is quite a commitment and can require several hours a month.

To become an advisor, you must be at least 23 years of age and available for meetings on Friday nights. For the safety of our members, there is a screening process in place for potential advisors. In order to begin the process please e-mail us and we will get back to you.
